Standing on the Tieton andesite and looking

east across the Naches Valley. On the horizon are

the foothills that form the western edge of a plateau

 formed by a fold in a 10 million year old Columbia Basin lava

flow, which holds the Wenas Valley. The town of Naches is to left.
